Clients often first meet Emily when they contact Resource Advisory Services. She currently sits at the front desk, but don’t let this fool you. She is in this position to become a professional financial planner, through Kansas State University’s online Master of Science in Financial Planning program and work with experienced advisors. As advisor assistant, her interactions include tasks to implement decisions, with account opening, transfers and other activities.
Emily’s important, but less formal, development involves shepherding client reports, as they work their way through experienced advisors and delivery to clients. In her roles, Emily loves getting to know each of our clients – and the unique situations they bring. She appreciates that Resource Advisory Services helps people retire and how expert advice can cut through confusing information for families who are busy with their own lives. It’s the peace of mind we provide clients that she enjoys the most.

Emily graduated from Maryville College with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and worked in a library and credit union before joining us here at Resource Advisory Services. Believe it or not, making car loans is good experience for financial planning.
Reading for enjoyment will likely return when the degree is finished. When she’s not studying and working, Emily enjoys volunteering at a food pantry, playing piano twice a month for the Scott County church of her childhood and spending time with extended family – where hiking is sometimes the family event. Priscilla and Emily both share a love of hiking, and go together from time to time.
